The Lumen wolves have a more informal method of operating. The Exalts, typically older members of the tribe, provide guidance for the rest of the members. Each wolf has a chosen role, but duties are typically very fluid and flexible (a wolf who is a preyseeker might also choose to help guard when necessary). Decisions are made by casting stones among the entire tribe. [ EXALTS ] Typically the elder members of the Lumen, or those with more life experience. They advise the tribe when called upon, and offer wisdom to the younger members. 0/5[ GUARDIANS ] Those tasked with keeping the tribe safe. They take shifts watching over sleeping wolves, or accompany preyseekers on hunts. 2/6[ PATHFINDERS ] In charge of scouting out the area around the tribe for any dangers such as bears or cougars. They report their findings to the guardians, and the tribe moves based on their scouting reports. 1/6[ PREYSEEKERS ] Generally tasked with tracking and hunting prey. They tend to keep track of deer and elk herds. 2/6[ HERBALISTS ] Generally have extensive knowledge of herbs and other items used for healing. They help dress wounds and keep wolves healthy. 0/6[ JUVENILES ] Young wolves who haven't yet chosen a rank. They spend time with the guardians, pathfinders, preyseekers, and herbalists to find the right place for them. When a juvenile decides they are ready, they chose a role. 0/∞[ PUPS ] Wolves under the age of six months. They don't have any responsibilities yet. Once they reach six months of age, they become an juvenile. 0/∞
