Samael couldnt help but he inwardly pleased that the Sovereign had seemed to be caught off guard by Samael's proposal to join; looks like Leon wasn't as composed as Samael thought. That was good. The white wolf watched carefully as the Sovereign looked him up and down, without a doubt suspicious, before turning to look to his pack mates. What he did, exactly, Samael wasn't sure. He could only guess that Leon wanted them to be alert. Afterall, the other dark male seemed to think he was not alone. Samael blinked at the question. "My name is Samael", he replied. As for the second question, Samael pondered, looking through his mind to see if the word "Lumen" was familiar. It wasnt. And it showed on the male's face for he narrowed his eyes and tilted his head - something he did when genuinely did not know something. "No," he finally spoke, "I am not associated nor have i ever had a past relstionship with these 'Lumen' you speak of." Samael straightened his head and allowrd his eyes to relax. Samael guessed that these "Lumen" wolves werent exactly on the best terms with this pack, especially since Leon grew increasingly more serious and seemed to be searching for a sign that could tell him that Samael was lying. Well, unfortunately there was no sign.

Salali didn't like this new wolf, however, she felt as though he needs a chance since he did not hurt Kinek and had no ties to the Lumen. He looked as though he could be a strong fighter or a long-winded scout. They could always use a second scout, Salali pondered. She saw some movement and became distracted (Squirrel moment) her fur fluffed up a bit more when she saw a big ol'magpie sitting nearby. She had always hated magpie's since she was a pup, it had stolen a small round shiny pebble from here. Salali squinted quite hard at the magpie before shaking her head and refocusing.

LEON | The Sovereign "Speech." Thoughts. Actions. Tags: Salali , Chinuk , Kinek , Samael , Set, SkyeLeon watched the stranger with an expectant look on his face, making sure to commit his name to memory. Samael appeared to ponder the second question, a squint and a head tilt suggesting that he was thinking hard, but even after he answer "no" Leon wasn't quick to relax. Even if he was foolish enough to believe the strange male right away, there was still a chance that he had ties to some other pack or was a danger in some other way. For now, though, Leon nodded, deciding to treat Samael as any other potential packmate until he gave the sovereign reason to do otherwise. "Alright, Samael. To my sides are Chinuk, the pack's warlord, and Salali, a scout." He introduced professionally, gesturing to each of the wolves flanking him in turn. "You will be joining us. We can speak more about you potentially joining and ranks along the way."
The sovereign kept his disappointment a secret as he spoke the words. Although he wasn't looking forward to bringing the cocky newcomer along, he just couldn't trust him alone with the rest of the pack yet. This was the best option, and it might even help Samael get a taste for what pack operations were like if what he said was true, that he'd never been in a pack before. Leon stepped forward a few paces and then turned so his back wasn't completely facing the newcomer, looking at Skye and Set with an unreadable look on his face. "Keep an eye on the pups. We'll return soon." His gaze then lowered down so he could address Kinek. "You and I will be having a chat about your wandering habits later today, young lady. In the meantime, listen to Skye and Set."
With that out of the way, Leon took a deep breath that visibly relaxed him ever so slightly. He turned to Chinuk and Salali, less excited now but still determined. "Are we ready to go then?" |

Chinuk's expression remained steady, allowing the Sovereign to take the lead. Watching the situation unfold, Chinuk's gaze followed Kinek as she sulked to the back of the crowd, taking her seat right next to one of her one age. Once Leon gestured towards the Warlord, he dipped his head slightly, ear twitching as Kinek settled down in his peripheral. Perhaps this new lad could be another Warrior? If the pack was truly against the Lumen as they assumed they were, that would be much needed.
Chinuk's mind was grasped by Leon's readiness for departure. With a deep inhale of the surrounding scents, the charcoal male turned and exhaled, setting off in the direction of the borders.

Salali -Scout- Salali sighed as the confrontation ended and Leon turned to her. She glanced at Church as he turned leaving, Salali corcled behind the newcomer and waited for him to move. She wasn't going to even give him the chance to try something. Tags: Razza Chinuk Samael |

Set wordlessly watched after the Sovereign and without hesitation would heed his orders. He looked down at the pups Kinek and Soot, and sighed to himself. He decided he couldn’t scold poor Kinek, it wasn’t his place to. “Come on, let’s collect some herbs and head back to the den. Kinek, are you all right?” He asked gently and began strolling the opposite way of the rest of the wolves. His silver eyes gleamed as they looked up to the Hunter, willing her to follow along.

Skye stood in place, staring after the others take their departure with the strange wolf. She twitched in place from the nervousness of the change, but she nodded in acknowledgement of the sovereign's command. She slowly turned, her eyes quickly locking onto the pups with a small frown. She wouldn't dare scold the pup either, but she could only hope that Kinek wouldn't pull such a reckless move again. She took a deep breath and moved to herd the pups along, finally lifting her eyes to meet Set's. She managed a small smile in his direction, mostly for his sake.

Soot's eyes lit up at the sight of Kinek, though he eyed the stranger she arrived alongside with curiosity. He'd have to ask Kinek questions later, because it seemed like Leon was leading the stranger, Samael, away to talk. Soot was a bit disappointed - that meant Chinuk was leaving and his part in the patrol was over. At Set's command, Soot's ears drooped. He didn't actually want to assist the shaman in his duties, but he did promise. He then wagged his tail as he turned his attention on Kinek and whispered "Where did you find him?" |

The large white wolf didn't respond. Instesd, he watched how they all reacted, following the Sovereign's orders with little to no hesitstion. Interest ignited within his mind, and Samael couldn't help bu wonder how it would feel for other to heed his commands in such a manner. The thought made his paws itch with envy but he did well to keep his posture and expression neutral. Once Leon's wolves had departed to do their job, Samael took notice on how that female wolf had decided to take up the rear. He turned his head and glanced at her through his normal eye, not really imoressed. It was truly a shame that she thought so low of him. Surely, any wolf would be foolish to try something while being surrounded by a pack. But Samael kept his word locked in the back of him mind, albeit with difficulty. He enjoyed taking jabs at others but he knew that there was a place and time for everything , and he didnt want to lessen his chances of getting into the pack. Afterall a pack was supposed to work with one another. With that in mind, Samael turned his head away and took place next to Leon. The Sovereign had promised the dicussion of pack roles snd such, and Samael figured being next to him would make talking easier.

With umber orbs narrowed in slits and brows furrowed, Kinek's only response to the familiar question of, 'are you all right?' was a simple nod. She merely wanted to prevent herself from speaking and then breaking down. Even if she did speak, she would choke on her own words and lose herself; a usual reaction to frowned upon situations. She sulked after the Shaman and Hunter, ears only lifting to Soot's enthusiasm. "I'll show you later," she murmured to him under her breath, a mischevious glint in her eyes.

Satisfied with the simple nod, Set turned his attention onward and missed the quiet exchange between Kinek and Soot. He just focused on leading them to the closest patch of goldenrod he knew. His eyes would every once in a while land on Skye for a moment, as if there was something on his mind. He would turn away if she ever almost caught his eyes. He cleared his throat, “Who can tell me what we use goldenrod for?” He asked the pups and he stepped over a fallen log.

Skye walked alongside Set and the pups, her eyes locked on the pups in curiosity. She caught onto what Soot had asked but unfortunately couldn't hear Kinek's response. She grunted softly to herself and moved to turn her attention back ahead. She could have swore she saw Set looking in her direction through the corner of her eyes but he was too swift for her to know for sure. Whenever he looked away, she would take a turn to look him over, lost in her thoughts as well. The shaman's question broke her out of her own head and she glanced over to the pups but an explanation. She had no clue, she knew nothing about special herbs. "Please, I'd like to know as well."

Soot flashed Kinek a look of excitement at her promise, but said nothing else. He knew it would be trouble for them both if the shaman and hunter heard them talking, and he didn't want Kinek getting another scolding on top of the talk she'd be having with Leon later. Soot was so focused on his own thoughts that he missed the glances between Set and Skye, though his attention returned to the present when he heard his father speak. "Um.." Soot mumbled, wracking his brain for the knowledge. Set had told him quite a bit about herbs, but he wasn't always listening. Narrowing it down to a few possibilities, he took a guess. ".. treating wounds?" |

"I don't know," Kinek mumbled with a shrug, referring to the herb trivia. "I also don't plan on being a Healer," she choked, shushing herself before the rest of the emotion followed.
Her glossed orbs scanned the foliage in search of a specific flower. A lone speck of white and yellow, grew precociously amid the perfect green brush. Kinek frayed from the group and bounded over to the daisy, it's delicate petals drooping in the shade. With brows furrowed, she examined closely.
